Components
  • Four tender coxon steaks, each weighing approximately 90 grams.
  • 1 cup (tea) of finely sifted homemade flour
  • One-third of a cup (tea) of wheat flour
  • Two eggs
  • 2 tablespoons of H2O
  • 2 tablespoons of extra virgin olive oil
  • Add salt and ground pepper gradually to suit your taste.
  • 1 cup (tea) of homemade tomato sauce
  • 1 cup (tea) of finely grated Shrewella cheese
Ready state
  1. Set the Electrolux Air Fryer Oven by Rita Lobo to 200 °C and bake for 8 minutes.
  1. In a glass bowl (or a small ceramic dish) suitable for the Air Fryer, combine the breadcrumbs and olive oil, mixing thoroughly.
  2. Put the refractory in the Air Fryer basket, close the door, and bake for 8 minutes until browned. Halfway through, stir the flour with a spoon to achieve a golden color. This method ensures the steaks become nicely golden and crispy when baked.
  3. Move the golden threaded flour into a shallow plate. In a deep bowl, crack the eggs, add the water, season with salt and pepper, and beat thoroughly with a fork. On a separate plate, put the wheat flour and lightly season with salt as well.
  4. In summary: season a steak with salt and pepper; coat it in wheat flour and tap it gently to remove any excess; dip the steak into beaten egg, allowing the extra liquid to drip off; then coat it thoroughly with breadcrumbs, pressing firmly to cover the whole surface. Place the breaded steak on one of the Air Fryer racks and repeat with the remaining steaks, making sure to arrange them side by side on the racks.
  5. Preheat the air fryer again and bake at 200 degrees for 10 minutes.
  6. Place the steaks on the grills inside the Air Fryer and close the door — halfway through the cooking time, switch the positions of the grills to ensure the steaks cook evenly.
  7. Using a dishcloth (or glove), take out the grills holding the roasted steaks and set the Air Fryer to gratin mode.
  8. To gratinize, cook two steaks simultaneously: leave them on the grill and spoon approximately 1⁄4 cup of tomato sauce onto each steak—leave one steak without sauce. Then, sprinkle each steak with 1⁄4 cup of grated cheese.
  9. Place the steaks on the grill positioned on the first level of the Air Fryer (nearest to the heating element) and let them broil for the entire 5-minute cycle. Repeat with the remaining steaks and serve immediately.
Follow the process step by step.
