Components
- Two Fuji apples
Setup mode
- Rinse, dry, and slice the apples in half lengthwise. Remove the seeds and then cut each half into thin strips approximately 0.5 cm thick (or use a mandolin if you like).
- Set the Electrolux Air Fryer by Rita Lobo to 200°C and cook for 8 minutes.
- Place the apple slices evenly in the Air Fryer basket—spreading them out as much as possible ensures more even cooking. Close the drawer and bake the apples for the designated time until they begin to sweeten.
- Open the drawer and use a clamp to stir the apple slices. Close the drawer and set the Air Fryer to 120°C for 25 minutes — halfway through, open the drawer once more and mix the slices to ensure they cook evenly.
- Move the apple chips onto a pillow and allow them to cool fully before serving or storing. Although the chips are small and slightly soft when taken out of the golden Air Fryer, they become crispy once cooled. You can keep the chips in an airtight container at room temperature for up to one week.
Cinnamon Chips
To prepare cinnamon-flavored apple chips, sprinkle 1/4 teaspoon of cinnamon powder onto raw apple slices before putting them in the Air Fryer.
